LLLT Treatment: LOW LEVEL LASER THERAPY
Laser treatment is widely used in the in medicine and also throughout a variety of industries, in a multitude of varying capacities. The laser energy used to stimulate hair growth is visible in the red light spectrum. That is why the Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), is also known as red light therapy because it uses the infra-red laser beams to treat the problem of hair loss.
LLLT is sometimes included under a broader definition of ‘Phototherapy’ called Low-Level Light Therapy, where the light-emitting device may be a laser and/or light-emitting diode (LED). Light from a laser in a specific wavelength has an effect on your body when it is applied for a sufficient length of time. LLLT treatment decreases the inflammation and increases the blood flow. This therapy reduces hair loss, hair damage and enhances in increasing the hair density.
Its procedure starts with a light that produces a wavelength (from 630 to 670 nanometers) that is absorbed by the molecules of the hair follicles. Through this light, the scalp is penetrated and the epidermal stem cells which are being stimulated for the regeneration of hair follicles. LLLT causes in increasing the blood flow that assists in intensifying the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the hair follicles.
